I have a cousin who was an extra in the movie Valley Girl. You know him--he was the guy on the escalator in the mall--in the background. I'd like to think that his fame has somehow rubbed off on me. I'm forever hearing people whispering, "that's the guy whose cousin was on the escalator".

On second thought, maybe my claim to fame is a little weak. :)

11. My great grandfather

and Mike Farrell's great grandmother were brother and sister. However, "cousin" Mike lives in ignorant bliss about our relationship.

I have some fun with this. I admit the truth about the relationship to like minded folks. But a couple times when Farrell was quite active and on all the news shows protesting the impending war, freepers at work would start sputtering about him and I'd say "Mike is my cousin and we're all very proud of him." That would shut them up.

BTW for one of the posts above, I have a friend who is also loosely connected to Robert the Bruce - you guys must be cousins too.

I wrote the synopses for movies and network programs for TV listings that wound up in newspapers across the country. One survey indicated our readership at one-third the population. That's probably high but it's the figure I tell folks.
This may explain why my posts are always very short.
