Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue.......
Well OK, not sniffing glue, but this week I have been experimenting with a cabbage-soup diet.

Food is my main joy in life - cooking it, then eating it. This diet takes all the pleasure out of both. Also, I haven't had a beer or glass of wine since Sunday, which makes this the longest period I've gone without booze since about 1995.....I'm really missing red wine!

I'm just trying to lose a few pounds around the old gut, but this diet sucks....my girlfriend got it from the hospital where she works as a fast fat-burner, but living on soup, fruit and veg is doing my head in.....no potatoes and no meat..........

This is making me so irritable that I might just have to come off the diet tonight......I'm being hell to live with, and if you saw my post about working with irritating colleagues yesterday you'll realise that I'm having to cope with some massive stress at work too.

Sorry....just had to rant for a moment....

2. Yeah, 'cause more shitting is good on board a ship......
:-)

It's got a lot of fibre in eat I think.......

Needless to say, I can't lift the bedsheets up in the morning without risking permanent damage to my eyesight and the walls of my lungs.

3. Find a story about some guy shooting himself in the balls
that will cheer you up and take your mind off your suffering :D

On the other hand...that soup is a laxitive...if you simply accompanied a low calorie, low fat meal with that soup for a couple weeks...you'd drop a few pounds anyway ;-)

10. Haven't seen one for weeks, but did see this......
"A Brazilian man who went to a clinic to have an aching ear checked ended up having a vasectomy after mistakenly believing that the doctor had called his name.

A manager at the Doctor Jose Carlos de Espirito Santo clinic in the town of Montes Claros in southeastern Minas Gerais State told Reuters on Wednesday Valdemar Lopes de Moraes, 39, entered the vasectomy room when Aldemar Aparecido Rodrigues' name was called.

"He was called by the full name and yet thought it was him. But the strangest thing is that he asked no questions when the doctor started preparations in the area which had so little to do with his ear," Vanessa Guimaraes said.

"He later explained that he thought it was an ear inflammation that got down to his testicles," she added. "

4. Damn you need a different diet that's the SHIT diet that your on
The cabbage diet and the subway submarine diet both are SHIT diets.

Try Adkins diet it works I lost 100 pounds on the Adkins diet and you don't go hungry.

With the cabbage dies as soon as you start eating you put the weight back on again.

12. To be honest, I just need to cut down on the booze.....
I'm not in bad shape, it's just that the beer seems to be sticking around the gut area these days....

Some more exercise+less booze should sort me out. I eat pretty healthily usually, but end up having big sandwiches for lunch at work, which is probably bad for me.

Thanks though - and I'm glad that you got sorted out at the ER!

5. Hell Pert
I try that kind of stuff every couple of months. It really is a waste of time and good brew. I live with the gut and as long as my wife don't complain, the hell with it.

6. Odd man out here!
I love cabbage, in all forms. Especially in soup with Kielbasa. Sorry that you hate it so much.

8. I don't hate it, I just like variety.......
I'll spend hours creating all sorts of stuff in the kitchen, so it's really depressing to come home and have to boil the same stuff every night, then taste the same thing.....

Of course I'm adding basil / balsamic vinegar / chilli to change the taste, it's still a big bowl of steaming vegetables. OK as an appetiser, but not as a main course.

7. Sorry, just to clarify...my g/f isn't a professional fat burner.....
Ewwwww...

"my girlfriend got it from the hospital where she works as a fast fat-burner"

That should read, "my girlfriend works at a hospital and got this diet from there as one that burns fat quickly".
