I think one of the finest songs ever was "Unchained Melody"...

OK, anybody else? Or what was your favorite song...the one that takes you sailing throught the window?

1. HA,
That's the one that gets me, too. One time I was driving through the lovely hill country of Western Wisconsin, along a windy road, and Unchained Melody was playing (or blasting, I guess), and just as it got to that part - you know, the most emotional part of the song - I rounded a bend, and the scenery opened up to a spectacular meadow with the river running right through it, wildflowers blooming - it was simply amazing, and the music couldn't have been better timed. It literally took my breath away and brought tears to my eyes.

If it had been a scene in a movie, I would have said it was too 'over the top'!

2. Percy Sledge--When a Man Loves a Woman...
ANY man that will sing that to me is a keeper! Makes me weak in the knees to think about it!

5. I always liked Percy....
Seems like the days of the "love songs" are gone. :(

I never was much of a dancer, but I could enjoy a slow song, and move my feet w/o being to spastic.

These days, I'm into more Classical than anything else, although I occasionally listen to some of the older Allman Bro's, Nazz, etc.
But then I get to thinking about choices I made, and how things would have been different if I had just made a left instead of continuing forward.....:)

Hon, we are ALL left--that is why we are Evil DUers! ;)

Sorry--I had to do that, probably because I understand completely about contemplating the "road not taken" or the one that got away. I try and avoid the trap that retrospection can be, but I also admit to some wistful moments.

Peace to you, and I bet there are lots of sweet moments ahead...
