The one poster over at FR who stood up against the outrageous comparison of Nazis to liberals was summarily canned for speaking the truth. His first post in the thread was:

Freepers want to reinterpret history to suit their own insane agenda. If they can't see that the current administration is closer to National Socialism (they get so stuck on that word, "socialism," in their little black-and-white minds) than any other in our history, then they get the inept, suffocating, oppressive government that they deserve -- the problem is, we all get it, and we all suffer from it.

So, which part of our political spectrum resembles the Nazis most? Let's see -- continual warfare against a vague, undefined enemy ("the terrorists")? Pro-government propaganda spewing forth 24/7 (Faux News)? The so-called party of smaller government now BIGGER and more intrusive than ever before (Patriot Act, etc.)? The making of lists of "enemies" of the state (phony "traitors" lists, like the one that named the Berg father and possibly initiated events that got his son killed)? The spotlight put on incredible animal brutality practiced by certain echelons of our military (murder by interrogation)?

Can't the right wing see what the hell they're doing? No? Well, then, Arbeit Macht Frei, motherfuckers.
