Question about ISDN configuration under Mandrake Linux
I am offline, and am using an internet terminal in Copenhagen, to ask
this question. My dream wish, is that someone can explain simply
quickly that i can read it. I have a bt internet ISDN card, and it
appears the kernel needs to be rebuilt every time a line is added, but
besides a mandrake script that is empty, there is no info i can find
to get back online. I love Linux indeed, but this offline thing is
a pain. Perhaps another version of Linux might be easier, if you
know one... becoming a unix sysadmin to get linux running is a
byproduct i'm less enthralled with. :-)

Thanks in advance. BTW, Copenhagen is lovely, and i attended a march
to save Christiana this past saturday... i'll post a photo if i
ever get back on line with linux. Christiania is a commune where i
chatted with several locals and had a smoke. They mint their own
currency with "50 kroner per man hour" written on the 1 wage coin.

The culture is the most first world and evolved liberalism for women
i have yet sampled in a world nation. What a brilliant culture.

I also use Mandrake, but ARS might give you an answer. I don't know.

Check out Linux Kung Fu

They pride themself on fixing problems.

[edit: looks Like I can't link to the forums. Click on openforum and select Linux Kung Fu.

2. well
Mandrake is notorious for the ISDN config.

What version of Mandrake exactly, what Kernel and what type of BT card (PCI / PCMCIA) ? What is the real manufacturer, as I doubt that BT makes ISDN cards?
