Another simple question, You have a week to live,
Edited on Tue Jun-01-04 12:46 PM by moof
what you know for sure is,
There is nothing you can do to stop it
You will go to sleep a week from today and not wake up
You can do anything you wish in the week you have left
Your partner knows your situation.
now the question

You have time in your crowded schedule to squeeze in seeing only one more movie at the multiplex.

Your partner/so/lover wants to spend all the time they can with you of course but there is only time to see one more film together.

You want to see film " ? " because it is the last one of a series and you really liked the others and you really want to see how it ends.
Your partner lets it slip that they want to see a different film as your last film together.

Do you give up seeing the film you want since you are going to be pushing up daisys in a few days anyway and your partner will have the memory for a long time into the future.

1. Does my partner know it's my last film???
Seems kinda petty for her to deny me my last movie.

3. yes, and they are not being petty,
This was supposed to assure that your partner knew that this was your last week to live.

"Your partner/so/lover wants to spend all the time they can with you of course but there is only time to see one more film together.

And the line about letting it slip was to put the decision on you the person checking out, the partner was willing to see the last film you wanted to see even though there was one they wanted to see with you more, they just happened to accidently let you know that they would enjoy remembering seeing the other film with you to a greater degree.

So it's up to you to deny her reluctant request not the other way around.

4. Yes but they won't get to have the shared memory
of having seen it with you.

6. If watching one movie together is the only thing they can remember me by
then I fucking sucked at life.

5. If I have a week to live...
Edited on Tue Jun-01-04 12:50 PM by VelmaD
why the hell would I spend part of it in a movie theater seeing previews for movies I'm not gonna be alive to see anyway?

I'm not interested, unless my partner and I are doing it in the back row of the theater (to knock that off my "TO DO BEFORE I DIE" list...then it really doesn't matter what movie is on the screen, now does it?

7. Hmmm... Dune...
If I'm gonna die anyway, I'd enjoy watching her try to stay awake. After 20+ viewings, I still don't think she's seen the whole thing...

She'd probably go for "Miss Congeniality" again. Fuck that, I'm dying already.

8. Alternativley...
There's nothing on, apart from Van Helsing. But there's a bar in the complex. Can't I spent the next 2½ hours getting pissed?
