4. A step in the right direction - good for you
Now you can go one step further, call you dem party and ask how you can join and what you can do to help. They always need people to pass out lit. and make phone calls.

5. Congratulations!
You'll always remember this - especially your first presidential election.

10. Congratulations on being one of the few, proud Democratics in South Dakota
My parents are also Democratics, and they still live in Sioux Falls.
And they're both voting for Herseth, who I hear has a decent chance of winnning.

12. Way to go!
My first: Mayor of Rio, 1985. I was 20. We were coming out of a dictatorship, so election dates were kinda messed up. The previous one was for Governors, Congress, and State legislatures, in 1982 -- I was 17.

Now everything is squeaky clean -- Mayor + City legislatures in years 4n; Prez + Congress + Governor + State legs. in years 4n+2.

I just voted, too. Turnout looked better than usual. No lines but OK numbers.
