I'm making freezer jam-tell me what you know

I've never done this before but from what I understand as long as I follow the instructions on the pectin packet exactly it should work. I've mashed the strawberries and I'm waiting for the plastic tubs to go through the dishwasher. I should be ready to start cooking in about an hour.

Anything I need to worry about?

I've made jelly/jam/preserves before, but not in the freezer. :shrug:

2. freezer jam

Freezer Jam is Jam that is not processed/canned. You cook it and put it in tubs and it keeps in the freezer for about 6 months. It has a fresher taste and doesn't last as long

3. Just follow the Sure-Jell recipe amounts EXACTLY

and you'll have nothing to worry about.

A little bit of my childhood innocence was lost when I asked my grandma how she made her delicious strawberry jam and she replied, "Oh, I just follow the recipe from the Sure-Jell box." :silly:

Of course, getting that exact taste also requires strawberries from her berry patch, which I successfully transplanted to my garden! Woohoo!
