Nutro Pet product users - GREAT Program!!!
http://www.nutroproducts.com/fbpnutroReg.html

I registered for this about a month ago and the coupons you get are fabulous (and for both cats & dogs). My cats use Natural Choice cat food and they love the stuff (plus they poop alot less then when they were eating Purina).

Thought I'd share this link with other pet lovers (they have the same program for dogs too)

1. Thanks
I'll check into it.

My cat has a long standing and frequent relationship with her litterbox.

8. Cheaper cat foods have more fillers in it
and those fillers serve no purpose other than to be passed through the cat and into their litterbox.

But when you switch foods do not switch your cats cold turkey. I mixed the Nutro in with their old cat food and for about 2 weeks they ate a mixture of the 2. After 2 weeks they were pretty much weaned off the old and eating completely the Nutro cat food.

Evita has eaten nothing but Nutro, but Abbie had the cheaper stuff. I can honestly say that the pair of them put as much into the litter box as Abbott did when he was by himself eating just the cheap food.

2. Thanks!
Our 4 dogs use Nutro-Max and it has done wonders for them. We live in the country and was told about this food at the feed store and have been using it ever since. They told us to keep the UPC codes and when we had 10 just bring them in for a free bag but the coupons would be nice too. :)

coughing, etc.

Threw it out.

4. Cool - Thanks!
I don't know if I'll get the free bag, because you have to buy 10 bags in a 14 month period (I prefer to get the big bags), but the initial $20 in coupons will come in handy!

9. I doubt I'll get the free bag either
I do all my shopping at PetSmart and they do not participate in the frequent buyer program.

But they do use the coupons and that's good enough for me

:bounce:

7. Nutro
Thanks for the link. My husband and I have 5 dogs of our own plus my stepdaughter's puppy, although that is temporary. Our guys eat Nutro and love it. Their vet can't get over how good our almost 8 year old greyhound is doing on it.

in the Twin Cities (MN)?

11. I've found hthat Nutro is sold at most pet stores
I'm not familiar with Minnesota, but I know there are a few independant and smaller pet store chains in the DE area and they all carry Nutro.

HOWEVER, you can use the coupons at Petsmart or Petco - just can't use the frequent buyer program. But heck, I'm not good at that frequent buyer stuff. I have dozens of cards from my local coffee shop and I've never been able to get one filled out!

12. Is it better than Science Diet?
I dunno--Chaucer loves his Science Diet--it would have to be a lot better to make me pull him off that stuff! :)

To be serious for a second, I have always found that stuff sold in grocery stores is just not as good for my cats as the premium foods.

I fed Iams for years, and then when it became available in grocery stores, I noticed the cat's coat was not in as good condition as it had been before. It wasn't til later, I found out that Iams had sold and they had changed the formulation of the food.

I can tell you who the cats are that are fed premium foods simply by petting them and feeling the coat quality. IMO, that single sign is a good indicator of overall health and nutrition on a cat.
