I see so many losses today. I lost my second brother-in-law in
three weeks. He drowned yesterday in a pond. He had ridden his horse out in there to get a calf and the horse threw him off. He couldn't swim.

Three weeks ago, I lost my other brother-in-law to some type of cardiac malfunction. He died in his sleep. The first was 42. The second was 35.

The second one had five small children with the oldest being 9.

My husband is now the only son left and he is terribly stressed. It is a horrible time in our lives right now. I feel like we are in a bad dream right now.

1. How horrible it is when tragedy stricks twice
in the same family in such a close length of time. And now your husband will feel obligated to help those children, I'm sure.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

4. I am so sorry for your tragic losses.
It's impossible to say exactly the right thing - but please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you, your husband, and the family.

5. Your husband must be devastated
Hopefully, the entire extended family can sit down and discuss how to help the children cope and draw up a plan of action. The worst thing is to feel helpless.
