Just got some more bad news about my uncle with cancer

As many of you know, one of my uncles has been battling a recurrence of cancer that we thought he'd beaten seven years ago; this time it's much more aggressive and has spread more.

His last shot now is a stem cell transplant, which they were going to do this summer. First, he was going to use his own marrow for the transplant, which greatly increases the chances of survival. Now, we find out that for some reason he can't use his own and has to use one of his sibling's marrow, which, we are told, means the chances of survival are lower than they would be if his own were used. And to top it all off, they might not be able to do it in when they want to, which will use up time he can't afford to waste. This is just making us sick. So please keep him and my aunt in your thoughts and prayers, thanks.

10. my dad went thru this with his cancer

after a series of treatments he was fine for a few years then,of course, it came back. he and my mom decided that it was time to stop. they offered him treatment but there was no guarantee that it would work.they called each of us and he explained his decision,of course we were heartbroken but he was our dad..i don`t know if this helps but sometimes things are out of our control..keep your head up and hope that things work out for what is best for him...karma waves for him~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
keep your head up, if this old man(me)can get a job after two+years you`ll find something...
