It's not a HUGE issue for me right now

I dumped the last guy I was with and I'm happy enough taking a break for awhile. But I have this male friend who gets treated like shit by his fiancee and just takes it. Even DEFENDS her and makes excuses for her shitty behavior.

So then, I'm not feeling well today and I'm flipping through channels when the phone rings. I stop flipping to answer the phone and while I'm half listening to the person on the other end, I realize I've stopped on Dr. Phil. He has this couple on and she's ASKING Dr. Phil if it's wrong that she will only sleep with him in return for jewelry, designer clothes, shopping sprees, etc.

This is an attractive, successful guy and I just did NOT get it. Then they bring on another woman who claims that she just cannot stop herself from cheating on her husband. Cheated on him TWELVE times and still he defends her and goes on about how much he loves her.

Oh, and yes, I DO know that it works both ways, but I'M talking about men at the moment. :P
