6. Damn right.
Friggin' expensive, too.

$25 for a half-case. I mean, soda's not cheap to mail, but still.

I ration my Moxie very carefully. ;)

13. Lordy!
At $25 a twelve pack I'd be sipping it out of shot glasses. No wonder you ration it.

12. It's a New England thing these days.
At one time, it was the biggest-selling soft drink in the country.

7. I had never
heard of this until now. I found a website that calls it an acquired taste: do you agree?

11. I acquired the taste the first time I tried it.
But yeah, I can see that. There is sort of an herbal/medicinal quality to it.

9. Moxie=Soft Drink
Like Coca-Cola, but only more so.

It is an acquired taste, but thanks to my grandfather I've been drinking it since I was about 3 years old.

10. These old ads
always make me smile.

Contains not a drop of Medicine, Poison, Stimulant or Alcohol. But is a simple sugarcane-like plant grown near the Equator and farther south, was lately accidentally discovered by Lieut. Moxie and has proved itself to be the only harmless nerve food known that can recover brain and nervous exhaustion, loss of manhood, imbecility and helplessness. It has recovered paralysis, softening of the brain, locomotor ataxia, and insanity when caused by nervous exhaustion. It gives a durable solid strength, makes you eat voraciously, takes away the tired, sleepy, listless feeling like magic, removes fatigue from mental and physical over work at once, will not interfere with action of vegetable medicines.

14. long time no taste
used to love it as a young'un...

Mom came back from visiting her sister Boston in 1990 and brought back a 2 liter bottle. It tasted different, not as mediciney! Did they change the formula awhile back?

Only "cult" soda I like they sell round these parts is Vernor's. Sort of a cross between Cream soda and ginger ale...

15. Vernor's is the best mass-market ginger ale I've ever had.
Anyone from MI or OH will agree with me.
