2. They all look a little too comfortable to be mousers.
My former cat (rest his soul) and I saw a mouse in the basement several years ago. We simultaneously looked at each other as if saying "Are YOU gonna get that?"

The current kitty is a natural born killer, though. I'm sure that he'll dispatch a mouse in no time if I ever get another one.

8. It's a crapshoot.
I have 2 cats, Haze is a relentless killer, hunts mice non-stop and has a large body count :) Ivory seems like he wants to kill but just dosen't have it in him. Hes is just too goofy and loveable. Can't be sure of Haze's body count thou, cause I caught her eating a mouse whole one day, from head to foot, like a snake that chews.

9. Seriously, if they go through kittenhood without having to kill for food,
chances are they may not have the faintest idea what to do with a mouse. My cats have never been outdoors, and the only time I ever saw a mouse in here, all 5 of them were just sitting in a circle around it, their eyes huge like saucers. I managed to scoop it into a box before any of them decided that it was probably a new toy of some sort.

10. I've got a couple you can borrow!
You can borrow my 25 pound die hard mouser. He's a Maine Coon and even brings you mice and moles for Mother's Day Awwww...how sweet!
We've never had a single mouse in the house yet. He even leaves his "presents" for the neighbor. She doesn't appreciate them though. He may be a hoss and a very effective hunter, but he's the biggest chicken I've got!

15. I had to check to make sure you weren't my sister!
Same number of cats, same problem! My cat is a hunter and a good rodent repeller, but I did have an unwelcome visitor a few months ago and it took Kitty a week to do her job. If it's only been a month or less, chances are one of your five will take care of things.

PS..they are adorable, however. And they're soft and they purr and soothe the soul.

16. they all look 1/2 asleep
Adopt a fully grown male Maine Coon and you problem will disappear so fast you'll forget you ever had one. However, the other cats might not like it so much! :D
