(CBS/AP) Smarty Jones already has proven he can run successfully in the mud.
Good thing, too - because there was a 60 percent chance of showers by post time Saturday for the Belmont Stakes.
The undefeated three-year-old colt can become racing's first Triple Crown in 26 years with a victory. He'll need to beat eight rivals and endure the grueling one-and-a-half miles.
"My horse is a good horse and he'll pretty much run on anything," trainer John Servis said. "Hopefully, it's not too bad."
