My wife passed away early Saturday morning. I held her hand as she drew her last breaths.

I cannot imagine how you must be feeling right now, but there is a DUer who does know exactly how you feel and what you're going through. Throckmorton lost his wife to cancer a couple of months ago, I believe she was also around your wife's age. Maybe he could help you right now better than the rest of us, since he knows what you're going through and what you're dealing with.
