OK, something much more important than Reagan or * just came up...
At the same time that we have been crabbing each other out over what is or is not appropriate for Reagan, one of our own has lost his wife. I, for one, am no longer interested in pursuing either the Reagan therads or the 'bush made an ass of himself' threads. We all have that information; let's all gather 'round BBB instead, and show who we really are.

4. Heresy!
You're asking us to show compassion and humanity! But a conservative died, dammit! We must dance and laugh and crap on his casket.

8. Agree 100%
The loss that BBB suffered this morning far outweighs the importance of Reagan or Smirk. Let's all try to remember what's important and give BBB the support he needs.

13. I'm numbed by all the fighting going on in the GDforum

I didn't care much for Reagan. His kids did, his wife did and others. As a human being I choose to not say anything at this point out of respect for mourning their loss. I'm sure they grieve as Big Bear does. Losing someone you love hurts and having hate spewed right now looks heartless and rather ignorant to be honest. Despise his policies, despise the man, but let those that mourn do so - don't let hate become stronger than your humanity.

If BigBear taught us anything the last few weeks, it's how strong love and devotion are to the essence of your humanity. We need to take his lead not only in supporting him get through his grief, but to not stoop to a level of pettiness in regards to the Reagan death.

17. You're right, and as a willing participant in some of those threads...
I am sorry that I didn't see BBB's thread until fairly late. The rest of the stuff on the board is pretty much BS for now, this takes priority for me. I'll fight again tomorrow.

14. Thank you, Mikimouse. Your post is balm to remind us what we should
aspire to be.

I lived through the mess Reagan made in California and D.C. and I cannot believe the viritol in those threads. Gads, why kick someone who isn't a factor in what we need to do today?

And yes, everyone, please pay respects to BBB and tone down the hatered. It just isn't helpful/

Love is the answer today. This evening, light a candle for Karin and let the other go. It just isn't important to beat a dead horse.

Tomorrow we resume the fight with the villians of the present.

15. I am ashamed of myself for not having seen the thread sooner...
as did so many others (and that is no excuse, just the fact), I jumped on the other threads and was assimilated. If this post is balm, then the others I responded to were pure venom, and I am sorry for that.

16. Thank you, Mikimouse. Love & support must be 1st priorities.
Otherwise, we, too, will lose our sense of humanity.

I don't want to do that.

I know that I would feel the same way as BBB if it happened to my wife. The scary thing is it is a reminder that our time here is so very short.

19. Today I learned my best friend in Roch. NY
was murdered by a shot gun blast.

Roger McCall at the time of his death held the record as the longest running DJ on a single radio station. He was the friendliest most generous person I ever knew.

My condolences to his wife and 27 year old son.

.....................

My condolences to the DU member.

22. So sorry
Losing a close friend hurts just as much as losing a beloved family member.

I wish you comfort in your loss, just as I also wished the same to BBB in the other thread.

This is a sad day.
