But the Amtrak's STILL 2 hours late! Wouldn't do any good to run it on Biodiesel, people still wouldn't ride a schedule like that...

That's part of the strategy. Make 'em run late, piss off the customers, Imply the message "If you're THAT damn important that you need to get someplace faster than you could walk there, you should have drove..."

I'll bet Amtrak would LOVE to run on time. But when you're secondary to a string of MT freight cars and get teated like an ugly stepchild and there's NOTHING you can do about it.....

well, when it all crashes down and Mel Gibson goes back downunda to live like Mad Max, maybe we can ride railbikes on the empty trckage....
