Liberals and progressives are typically decent people. We don't march in lock-step, we don't preach, and we tend to respect one another's opinions. Some of us have chosen to remember our Reagan Years in a rather silent way today. Some of us haven't.

Anyone who "lived through" the Democratic Primaries on these boards, and anyone who witnessed the way we joyfully ate our own in that time, ought to recognize that we can get through these Reagan Days, and respect each other when we get to the other side of them.

I will add that I find the dramatic exits to be a bit irritating. Toughen up a little bit... it's a long, long way till November.

I have no idea what you're talking about. Because I have steered clear of most Reagan threads. Why do you even bother to read the threads about Reagan if they frustrate you this terribly? You cannot change how people feel and as bad and tasteless as it may be for people to piss on Reagan's grave, it's just as terrible to turn on the tv and hear people talking like a saint just died.

Most people just need to get over themselves-- it's not enough to just leave, an entire thread has to be started to hold all of DU responsible for the individual feelings of people that are entitled to express themselves any way they choose.

I hope you'll reconsider and stick around. If you don't, I wish you luck finding a forum of people that will never step outside of how you think they should act or react.
