4. Both.
I don't like them AND they suck. :7

But since you're such a good sport, here's a pic I found you'll enjoy:

7. I think that is so cool these guys go way back
.. and now are opponents in the big games!

Of course Kobe is better , but I'll give props to the other guy too :-)

I think the Laker bashing is funny and I'll play along but I won't back down when it gets ugly either.

sucks the game is on late for you guys back east. I don't get why this isn't a day game today.

8. I'm rooting for the Lakers
Even though I admire the way the Pistons play top notch aggressive D every single trip down the court.

9. agreed... the Pistons didn't get to the finals playing poor BB
but I'm still expecting a Laker ring.

their defense will definitely be a factor.

2. Shaq gets away with murder (on the court), Coby gets away with rape (off).
The lakers will destroy the public's interest in the NBA.

3. Coby? do you mean Kobe?
:eyes:

a bit on the dramatic side are we? I'm guessing you're not much of a basketball fan in general so don't worry about the Laker's killing the NBA. The NBA needs a team to hate and it's my guys.

5. Obviously I'm already off the NBA bus.
Love to play the game and watch college competition, couldn't care less about pros.

6. As a lifelong Piston's fan...
...I know two things to be true.
1. The Lakers Suck!
2. The Lakers will win the championship in 6 or seven games.
They may suck at a lot of things in a lot of ways, but playing basketball isn't one of them. Their time is coming to an end...Piston's seem ready to take over...next year.

10. Call the fouls on Shaq
everytime he "dislodges" the opponent and the Pistons will win the series. Otherwise, another celebration in La-La-Land

Edited on Sun Jun-06-04 01:46 PM by frylock
so no, they are not the Yankees of the NBA. They are the 2004 World Champs. Deal with it, hater.

Lakes in 5.

14. When you have 3 hall of famers
and 2 all stars in your starting 5, you are the Yankees of the NBA. Salary cap or no :smoke:

=)

16. 4 Hall of Famers
Karl Malone and Gary Payton deserve a ring, they should get one. Definately two of the best two play the game at their position.

18. they are getting their rings
in an artificial way. They took pay cuts to get around the salary cap issue. However, unlike when you or I take a pay cut, these multimillionaires will not feel any financial hardship as a result. Unless they've been stupid with their money, they were set for life long before this season.

At least Malone has been making a significant contribution to the team. Payton has been serviceable at best. If I were either one of them, I would feel like I had sponged someone else's ring.

Just my opinion.

21. Payton I believe was the only of the 4
To play in every game. He does a pretty good job of quarterbacking that team from the PG position even though the Lakers system doesn't fit his kind of ball. I'm still sure he wants to win every game in and every game out.
