MTV's "Room Raiders" - Your Children Are Disgusting

"Room Raiders" is a programme which airs on MTV as a pseudo game show in which one single (male or female) decides which of three prospective dates he or she wants by examining their rooms. Some of the episodes feature high school aged kids while others star college-aged kids. The "Room Raider" is given tongs, latex gloves, and a blacklight and sent into each of his/her dates' living quarters. The result is often humorous and nauseating. The typical room is fairly disheveled and dirty (beds unmade, dirty clothes on the floor, etc.). The best rooms are those with dark-colored carpet and lots and lots of crumbs on the floor. Our "Room Raider" never fails to handle (with or without the tongs) underwear, and it is not uncommon for a sex toy of some kind to make an appearance. Perhaps the most sickening part of the show is when the black light is broken out. There are a LOT of bodily fluids on the sheets, and that ain't just saliva.

Bottom line: Parents, your children are disgusting! :D

1. The few episodes I have seen have all been rooms of

upper middle class kids. They all seem very privileged, if they are to be judged by their rooms.

I haven't seen the show but everything on MTV is totally scripted, rehersed, or generally completely controlled by the producer.... the stuff they find is totally placed.. scenes possibly rehearsed and reenacted....

MTV is so deplorable in so many ways, I can't find one redeeming quality.
