Is there a woman more needy than JLO?
Being a woman myself, I can not figure this chick out. So, you get dogged by your fiancee, then you take someone else's husband!
All I can say is "Mark Anthony, be afraid, be very afraid!"

1. Me.
Pay attention to me. Me, me, me! I might vanish if no one pays attention to me!

11. I am not by nature
a fan of Hollywood *pretty boys*...but if you've ever heard/read an in-depth interview with Ben Affleck, the guy is not only hot but he's INCREDIBLY intelligent (and liberal ;)). I have to forgive him for the whole J-Lo episode, which was clearly nothing more than temporary insanity. ;)

26. I don't think Ben ever intended to marry J-Lo. I think he just strung her.
along as long as he could get away with it. Face it. She's an incredibly beautiful woman that most men dream of having. But I don't think she's the type of woman that most men dream of having for a serious life partner. Not at this time. She has a lot of growing to do before she can be taken seriously in that regard.

2. She is out for publicity and to make money..
She is a playa only difference is the fact she is female. She used P. Diddy, to get her back to stardom from In Living Color. She will step on whomever it takes to get attention. This is before my time but I think Elizabeth Taylor was like this, correct?? But I do admire her booty.. ;)

5. She picked a bad time to get married if she wanted lots of attention....
It's all going to a dead President.... Sorry, JLo? Maybe if you divorce him in record time? (beating Brit's record-- oh, guess it is too late).

7. I don't understand her
I know she was married to her last husband for something like 5 months? :wtf: I'm no expert on marriage these days, but I'd give it a longer chance than 5 months before I bailed. I'd consider every option and give it years of time before I'd go there myself. Some of us take life a little more seriously though.

10. Stars never marry for "love"....
And their marriages hardly last with a very few rare exceptions. What JLo is doing is no different than the rest of Hollywood...

9. I don't know that she's needy
You can judge her desire to be married however you want - and with whatever information you can get about her from the tabloids - but considering her position I can understand why she has such a difficult romantic life. This actually came up on another board I frequent, and people mentioned how difficult it is for just a non-celebrity woman who is successful and knows what she wants to find a man she doesn't intimidate. Now imagine how hard it must be for someone like J-Lo. She's beautiful, rich, successful - men may want to fuck her, but it's the rare man who can handle a woman like that (celebrity or not) for the long term and not feel threatened. Hell, I've had friends whose relationships ended because she had a PhD and he only had a masters!

You've also got to wonder why, given how many celebrities are married multiple times and how many of them have weird, for lack of a better word, relationships, J-Lo attracts so much attention. I don't see how one could argue that she seeks it out. The tabloids make that choice, driven in part by what people want to read about. In that sense, perhaps it's the public that's "needy" in constantly needing to know about the lives of certain celebreties.

Back to the why part, as a poster on the other board asked, do we live in a society that likes to see women successful? Do we applaud and feel happy for women who manage to have it all, or do we take a quiet joy in watching their lives fall apart?

Maybe we should ask Martha Stewart.

17. Me too
she seems to be the type of woman who takes other women's men(P Diddy's baby's mommy and Mark Anthony's wife) or unknown men who are financially dependent on her(Husband 1&2).
The only man she could not control was Ben and we all know how that ended. He got the HELL out.

30. I have to argue that...
You can only 'take' someone else's man if that man so chooses. It's not like she's kidnapping them, and they're all innocent. Choice to keep a marriage or relationship intact lies with those involved in the marriage or relationship. </soapbox>

Not that I like her, I just had an issue with your POV on that one! :D

16. Most celebrities are "weird" and "needy"
The last thing I would want to be is famous. So anyone who seeks it out is "weird" to me. Some people are "needy" in the sense that they need everybody (or everybody who counts) to like/love them. Celebrities even more so.

That being said, JLO is an adult and competant to make her decisions in life. I pity the guy who has to listen to her all day long, but maybe the nights will make up for it. To each their own.

21. A better question would be
"is there any woman who gets more attention while deserving less?"

Oh, and speaking from the male pig point of view, in terms of looks she's the most overrated woman I know of. No exceptions, not even Madonna.

24. More needy than j-lo?
That's easy. All four of my ex girlfriends. They left me for total losers, and If I wanted to, I could call each of them up today and not only talk them into taking me back, but also getting married. In particular, my first ex, who has two kids, one by the man she left me for, and another from another guy she cheated on him with.
