No "Alias" until 2005!?! AUUGGHHH!!!
I just found out that "Alias", aka "The Coolest Show on Television" is not coming back until NEXT FUCKING YEAR! This sucks!! At least I still have the CSIs, The Daily Show, South Park, Seinfeld reruns, and The Simpsons to keep me happy. But still. Fuck.:grr:

3. I'm not sure why...
But I'm hoping that it's so they can they spend extra time filming the first episode of next season. Or it might because Jennifer Garner is doing an Elektra movie. I don't know when that's filming, so that might not be it. But at least we still have the DVD sets to watch over and over, right?

2. That pisses me off - not that I'm a huge fan, but
the way those people jerk around loyal fans is really f*cking irritating.

5. It's because they don't want to have a big gap in time
between the first batch of episodes in the fall and the second in the winter (usually in December-January it's repeats). It breaks up the momentum of the show.

They think that having an uninterrrupted season will help the ratings. I don't know that it will work, but that's the idea. I feel your pain.

8. Side note...
there's a new JJ Abrams (creator of Alias) show debuting in the fall... it doesn't look that great, though.

6. I really doubt that Syd's coming back.
This "delay" is just a modified version of, "I just called to tell you, your cat is stuck on the roof and we can't get it down." We know what the next call will be.

7. Rest assured, it has been renewed through 2006 at least
Several reasons I have read for the delay.

1) The on location shots were taking a toll on the cast, esp. Jen Garner. They wanted her to remain fresh and not get burned out.

2) The breaks in between episodes were starting to take its toll on the viewers. This way from Jan through May, there will be a full slate of episodes, with no interruptions.

ABC has thrown its back into keeping Alias around, more so than for any other show in recent memory. Although it's lost viewers, they finally can say that they've got a good thing going here. And besides, don't forget reason:

3) Absence makes the heart grow fonder.

But does it suck- HELL YES !!

Long Live Alias !!!
