'Dying' couple blow £40k

A COUPLE who blew their £40,000 savings after being struck down by killer illnesses have been given the all-clear.

Patrick and Megan Hastelow listed 50 “must-dos” when he was diagnosed with serious heart problems soon after she got breast cancer.

Over 18 months they renewed their wedding vows on the QE2, partied in Rio, had a safari in South Africa and visited the Falklands, Senegal and Uruguay.

They splurged most of their life savings on the adventure.

But now Megan has been told her cancer is in remission, while Patrick, 66, is back at the gym after a successful heart bypass op.

Many studies are showing positive attitudes exhibit a powerful influence over health and healing. Living their lives to the fullest may have triggered their healing.
