'Too old' 'ER' actress axed
I love this gal. This is utter crap they aren't bringing her back.

"LONDON, England (Reuters) -- British actress Alex Kingston says she has been axed from the hit U.S. hospital drama "ER" because she is too old.

Kingston, 41, who plays the widowed surgeon Elizabeth Corday, said she was "shocked and upset" when she learned her contract would not be renewed.

"Apparently I, according to the producers, the writers, am part of the old fogies who are no longer interesting," she told the BBC's Radio Times listings magazine.

"Does it mean that I am the geriatric being pushed out because she is too old?""

1. Still smokin' hot in my book
I think she is referring more to a change in the main story line-up.

15. Most Attractive Woman On ER Ever!
All the women on that show were attractive, but i always thought she had that natural classiness in her appearance. I liked her and the character, although i admit i lost interest in the show a few years ago.

5. I love her character. This makes me sad.

I love "Lizzie" Her character interacts so well with everyone, and while she isn't being used in large roles now, she maintains a certain link to the days where ER was something special.... A show that I would make sure that I either watched or taped every thursday night. While the new characters are good, I miss the old gang. *sigh*

On edit: I still think she's hot!

I love both of them on that show .... if they also got rid of Maura I'd stop watching it. Again.

11. I wound up liking Romano
eventhough I hated him at first.

I thought their interactions were some of the best on the show.

9. I love Alex Kingston
She's a tremendous actor. ER was lucky to have her this long. And ahem... she's a year younger than me. Too old?!? I don't think so.

10. That's cr*p
Kingston's character is one of the better parts still in the show.

And I agree with another of the posters. If they get rid of Tierney, they might as well pack it in.
