WWII combat flight sims are my guilty pleasure, since i'm an ardent anti-war person. but MMPOL gaming rocks! flying 'realistic' planes (or any other type of gaming) against real people from all over the world is way cool. and the members of the on-line community volunteer their time to set up these scenarios.

I can't believe I reacted with a sense of pride when seeing your Texas Democrat flag. I just sent them $10 through MoveOn.Org. It's not much, I know, but right now I could throw money at a dozen different just causes in the war to oust the GW Gang.

I can't believe the Texas Rangers haven't sent out a company of their finest to track down their criminal former governor. Hint... he's squating at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

5. Hmmm... I think there's a team of guys from my dad's work who play that.

Do you know of a team of guys who always play together and who regularly kick everyone else's butts? That's probably them. Then again, they have the advantage of many of the other players, because they're all aviation buffs AND professional pilots. (My daddy drives airplanes for a living!)

7. The KI 61

was based on the ME109 airframe.

Nice plane, numble and takes a hit better than the (A6-M) Zero, plus a good ammo loadout.

I used to fly one at Warbirds III

When I get my next computer I hope to get back into the online sim wars.

8. well, the action has moved to Aces High

which was started by former WB staff.

actually i think the ammo loadout in the Tony sucks, but the 2x20mm cannon are in the over the engine so convergence isn't an issue. but the secondary MG are only 2 x 13mms. pretty worthless.

9. Well, compared to its predecessor

the KI-43 (4 13mm only) which couldn't shoot down a bird, a crippled bird even, the 61 was a superweapon.

I will check out Aces High. I wonder what the specs are, and if it's Mac friendly.
