4. Didn't see it, but Stewart has made this statement before

on Al Franken's show. He said that everybody thinks Bush is stupid. He doesn't think Bush is stupid; he thinks Bush thinks WE'RE stupid, or he wouldn't talk to us the way he does.

It's one of Stewart's bon mots. He might have said it on the Daily Show as well, during a guest interview. I've heard it a couple of times.

I don't know why it would be cut or what happened on C-SPAN (maybe an actual technical difficulty, though simple explanations are unacceptable to so many DUers). Call-ins say worse than that every morning on Washington Journal.
