More wacky restroom behavior
OK, say there's a stack of paper towels on the counter by the sink in the restroom. Say you pick one up and another falls into the puddle that always collects on the counter. Do you throw that one away along with the towel you've used? I say YES, but I seem to be in the minority here at work. Any thoughts?

2. How hard is it to pick up a paper towel?
They must be the extra heavy duty kind. :P

3. Of course
Use your towel to pick it up, then use the two together to wipe up any drips/drops on the sink and counter. There, doesn't that look nice? The golden rule for restrooms...

4. We won't even go into
...when there's excessive water on the counter and I lean forward and get it on my pants. Right about whiz level.

5. Here's one for you.

There's a relatively new movie theatre here in Philly. It's very fancy schmancy. Anyway, the last time I was there I went to use the men's room after the movie and when I went to wash my hands a guy sidles up next to me and puts a paper towel on the sink. I saw him when I came in but had no idea he was a washroom attendant. He was talking to some other guy and I had no idea that washroom attendants still existed anywhere. I didn't use the paper towel he gave me because I didn't want to have to tip him especially since the whole thing took me by surprise. I used a paper towel from the dispenser. What would you have done?

7. I would have done the same as you.
I am always uncomfortable with the idea of tipping a guy to sit in the bathroom all day!

9. Yeah, there's that and...
...I think he was kinda sneaky about it. I felt like I was suddenly put in a very awkward situation. I've NEVER dealt with a washroom attendant and have been drying my hands in restrooms for years without their assistance. And he wasn't wearing any kind of uniform, not even just a regular movie theatre employee uniform. Now that I think about it anyone could probably go into that bathroom, put out a tip jar and sidle up next to you with a paper towel.

10. YOu know..
depending on your persuasion, that could be a good method to pickup someone. "Excuse me, but here is a papertowel to wipe yourself, and my phone number"

Just a thought.

11. ICK!!!
NO, no, no, no!!! To the extent that I do any picking up, I try to do it away from the sounds of toilets flushing.:)

6. Of course. But do not talk on a cell phone when you are taking a shit.
Twice this week already, someone was in the stall yapping away. This bugs the hell out of me for some reason.

8. I read an anecdote about that
A woman is in a restroom and hears from the next stall, "Well, hello!" She hesitantly says, "Uh, hello." From the next stall, "How are you? How was your day?" She gives another hesitant answer. Then from the next stall, "I have to call you back! Some idiot in the next stall thinks I'm talking to her!"

12. Well of course you do
You must work with a bunch of slobs! Someday there'll be a janitors strike and everyone there will be running around in a tizzy fretting over who will clean up all the wet paper towels that are accumulating.

When I wash my hands and pull the little lever to feed out my paper towel, my hands are wet while I do that, right? So I always finish up by giving the little lever a wipe with the paper towel I just used.

13. The last place I worked
...the men's restroom actually had a wall phone mounted in the toilet stall!

I can imagine how some of the conservations might have sounded...

"Hey! How's it going! Yeah, I'm doing fine....Hey- can you hold on a second....arrrrrrrr (splash)(flush)...yeah, anyways, as I was sayin'...":hurts:

some things continue to amaze me, and some things I'll never understand!
