For what it's worth, my scary-looking semi-automatic weapons are covered by the 2nd Amendment. You are free to not own any.

Also, AK-47's are old fully automatic rifles. They are not "assault weapons." My Chinese MAK-91, a semi-automatic rifle of similar design is an "assault weapon."
