Being optimist, I say Germany. And I want England in the final.

2. Being pessimist: the Netherlands |
|
They went too long without a title.
England beyond the preliminary round would suprise me though - most overrated squad ever.

...though our media thinks that we can win the cup without bother to play. :sigh:

5. No idea, and I need some betting tips |

Soccer is the type of thing I love to pounce on in Las Vegas, since the lines are likely to be soft and vary from joint to joint.
Perhaps some DUers who follow this closely can help me out.
Every game has an over/under of 2 1/2 goals, with most of them the "juice" favorite to go under.
Otherwise:
* Portugal -1 goal vs. Greece * Spain - 1/2 goal and -150 (150 to win 100) vs. Russia * Croatia pickem -135 vs. Switzerland * France - 1/2 goal +110 vs. England * Italy -1/2 goal -125 vs. Denmark * Sweden -1/2 goal +105 vs. Bulgaria * Czech Republic -1 goal -135 vs. Latvia * Netherlands pickem -140 vs. Germany
