Ginseng for energy?
I'm thinking about buying some ginseng. Has anyone had any luck with it as far as energy goes?

1. Yup......
if you are a gal, take Siberian Ginseng (that's what I was told)

it really helps as a tonic and takes the pressure off the old adrenals. It helps with mental and physical stress.

which reminds me, I ran out today.... must get more!

2. ginseng is metabolic, cafinene is catabolic, so ginseng
acts to build up the tissues. It can be taken to over stimulative levels but is rare. Try as a tea first so that you can control the dosage.

DO a google on "ginseng versus caffiene (only spell it correctly)" a couple of good in depth articles out there.

much better for you generally than coffee. Not as good as tea (health benefits of green and black teas are incredible).

consult ayurvedic sites for your body type and ginseng type/dossage.
ffat finger spelling problems tonightt.

4. You're better off with ENADA
It's a coenzyme (NADH) that has been tested in double blind studies, and shown effective for patients with chronic fatigue. Its a form of vitamin B-3. I have CFS, and have been taking ENADA for years now. It has helped me quite a bit.

Sufferers of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) can be heartened by the favorable results of clinical trials of the nutritional supplement enada NADH for use in the treatment of their debilitating disorder. The outcome of the enada NADH study has recently been published in the respected medical journal Annals of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. (Vol. 82, pp. 185-191, Feb.1999). Healthwatch and The CFIDS & FM Health Resource published preliminary results of this study, which was conducted at the prestigious Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, D.C. This trial marks one of the first times the FDA has approved a nutritional supplement for evaluation as a medical treatment.
