DarkPhenyx has an Introverted Intuitive Feeling Judger (INFJ) personality
Edited on Sat Jun-12-04 07:57 AM by DarkPhenyx
...commonly referred to as “The Mystic Writer”.

(honest I'm not making this up)

INFJ General:

The written word is sacred to you because through it, you can understand and express the mysteries of life. When you are not writing, you are exercising another of your supreme talents-the gift of listening-to comfort and aid those who come to you for advice and guidance.

INFJ when in love:

When it comes to affairs of the heart, you prefer to express yourself with you pen: poetry, journal writing, and tender notes left on the bathroom mirror are you favorite methods of communicating you love and devotion. As a Mystic Writer (only about 2 percent of the population), you tend to devote most of you time and energy to your mate. In fact, you can be quite content having your partner as your sole source of quality companionship-as your best and only friend. Unfortunately, this near obsession with one individual as your sole source of emotional support could cause you grief. You may decide to avoid your loved ones and spend all your time with your partner, only to find out later, perhaps much later, that he or she is absolutely wrong for you. In the mean time, you prolong a bad relationship by deluding yourself-with your highly developed sense of imagination-into believing he or she is the right one.

INFJ where to meet:

Where can you meet a Mystic Writer? Mystic Writers are the most reclusive of the Meaning Seeker LoveTypes. You may have a hard time unearthing them because they often enjoy kicking back at home: reading, writing, thinking, praying, meditating, or listening to music. Excellent places to meet Mystic Writers include churches, synagogues, or other religious institutions. Although any of the LoveTypes may be involved in religious or spiritual activities, Mystic Writers are especially known for their spiritual (although not necessarily religious in the traditional sense) nature.

:D

Boy does this ring a bell:

In fact, you can be quite content having your partner as your sole source of quality companionship-as your best and only friend. Unfortunately, this near obsession with one individual as your sole source of emotional support could cause you grief.

That is true for me, especially when I was younger. But I wouldn't call it an "obession" with the other, just that my social needs are quite low in comparison to say, ESFJ. But it is true that you can't rely one person to meet all of your social needs, even if you are an INTJ, so I work at having a social life. Especially now that I'm single. And I wont' give that up if I find myself in another relationship. Achieving a balance I think is the way to go.

What do you think of it?

edit: What test did you use to get the "Mystic Writer" persona?

3. I think someone was smoking crack...
...when they wrote that if I'm supposed to be a good example of it. That's what I think. :)

I agree with your plan of attack however. I have yet to find anyone that I even began to think would meet all my social needs. I seriously doubt it is even possible.

4. Well, it's more flattering than the one
over at the Keirsey site. They call us "Masterminds," and put forth examples like Ayn Rand and Eisenhower.

OK, so maybe this isn't so bad then. :) I dunno though. Somehow I just can't see a INFJ enjoying explosives as much as I do. The "poetry of the boom" prehaps? The "prose of the cannon"?

He seems to have been very interested in blowing things up.

7. Yeah, but thats a Mastermind, not an INFJ.

or whatever it is. IMHO it's all crap anyway. As someone once said "how in the hell can anyone tell me waht I am by asking a few stupid questions."

8. Oh, I thought you said INTJ
:P

Speaking of blowing things up and poety, I kept thinking there's a Dead Man quote in here somewhere. Here it is:

That gun will replace your tongue. You will learn to speak through it. And your poetry will be written in blood.

2. INFP here. "Mystic Dreamer" or some such thing.
Suits me fine. I'm a double Pisces with Gemini ascending anyway. :)

9. I feel into an interesting crack in the test...
when I took it back in college. The Introvert vs. extrovert questions are divided into two basic sections...whether you like to be/work alone or in a group (which I answer like an introvert) and whether you stand up for yourself in public/fear public speaking/etc (which I answer like an extrovert). I literally answered one more question like an introvert than an extrovert. The woman giving the test said she had never seen anything quite like my results before.

I seem to recall the rest of my results were NTJ but I'm not 100 percent sure of the N.

13. I'm a cold, calculating INTP, and if there's something
wrong, I'll fix it, even if I should just leave it alone.

Can't help it. It makes me a doofus now and then
