Let's go the other way: FAVORITE earworm ever
Since we've done the worst earworm any number of times, what's the song you're happiest to get stuck in your head? I have an unlimited number, but on a day-in day-out basis, it's probably "Thick as a Brick." You?

That's a very comforting song to me.

Ray Charles' version of "America the Beautiful", this morning. I'll miss him, but I am glad that his art will live on.

Brick House by the Commodores. Not a great song, but better than most of the earworms I get :D

7. earworm--ha never heard that one before
anyway, a good one for me is this, which I wrote, about my cat, Snickers:

She's fat. She's fat and furry. she's fat fa fa fat and furry. Oh she's fat fat fat, fat fat fat, she's fat fa fat fa fat and furry. Furry furry furry, fat fa fat fa fat and furry, she's fat fa fa fat and furry.

this can go on for hours.

Or this, about my dearly departed pet toad, Toadsies:

Toadsies, Toadsies, toadsy toadsy toad. Toadally toadally toadally toadally Toadsies. Toadsy Toadsies! Toadsy Toadsies! Toadsy toadsy toadsy toadsy toadsy Toadsies...

Continue singing until deep feelings of well being emerge.

8. Earworm was coined by some college professor or another
Specifically this one: http://my.webmd.com/content/article/61/67505.htm
Don't follow the link unless you aren't afraid of having really bad songs stuck in your head.

9. I've actually never heard of any of these, which is a little odd
as you'd expect that the earworm people liked would most likely be a popular record. Still, it's nice that folks do sometimes get songs stuck in their heads that aren't annoying.

10. THAT is not an earworm, it's an eargopher! It's a 50-minute song!
Me, a good one I sometimes get stuck in the ear is "Don't Stand So Close To Me" by The Police -- the original, mind you, not the edulcorated pap they did at the reunion.

13. A lot of people accidentally respond to the last response
when they mean to reply to the original post. Of course, mostly they read the original post before replying, unlike in this case.

14. Ok, gigantic eartapeworm then
Actually, though I have near total recall, it doesn't seem to apply to Jethro Tull and I thus only get little snippets here and there, any of which working well as an earworm that I'm delighted with (except for that noise at the end of side one).
