6. Charcoal Tabs
My sister used to have a dobie that was lethal. Charcoal tabs work wonders. Another trick is to light a match in the general vicinity of the odor (after it has diffused a bit - don't want a flare up). Good luck!

10. It's a pug trait...
along with other dogs with the squashed in nose feature
(brachiocephalic).

"However, the breed is not without problems, and many are directly related to its structure. The shortened muzzle can cause breathing problems and air-gulping, which can give him gas and cause problems in hot, humid climates. Air conditioning in summer months in the south is essential. His eyes bulge somewhat and can get scratched, and he can have eyelid or eyelash abnormalities."

11. Try a new brand of dog food.
Seriously--try putting the puppy on Science Diet (or even on Eukanuba or one of the other premium dog foods.) You need to do it gradually--don't just switch abruptly--but it may make a huge difference in the poor doggie's digestion and in your home air quality!
