for Yoplait yogurt or something (nice visuals, bouncing cow, chickens, etc). I wonder if younger audiences hearing this song associate it with the Democratic Party?

1. When my uncle was a small-town cop in the 1940s -

one of his duties included providing security for local youth groups. One evening he chaperoned the local Young Republicans chapter on a campout. Thought it would be a swell idea to get the whole group singing campfire songs. The parents got enormously pissed when they later learned he had taught them all to sing "Happy Days Are Here Again".

2. Oh that is a wonderful story!

I wish a pop star would come up with a new version, not too punk, though. I'd love to see that kind of attention paid to things that are associated with Dems.
