15 year old boy becomes sperm donor
15 year-old sperm donor happy to come to brother’s rescue

by Lee Morehouse, THG News

Cody Nettle has always looked up to his older brother Kevin, a three-sport athlete in high school who graduated from Indianapolis Cathedral high school in 1997 with a 4.0 GPA and in 2001 with honors from Purdue University with a degree in mechanical engineering.

To Cody, it seemed like Kevin was Superman—he could accomplish anything he set his mind to through hard work and unbending determination. That is why it was a shock to Cody when Kevin asked him if he would be willing to be a sperm donor so that Kevin’s wife Adrienne could conceive.

After a year and a half of not having any luck getting pregnant, Kevin and Adrienne sought help from fertility doctors. A series of tests showed that there was no way the couple could conceive—they were heartbroken to find out that Kevin’s plumbing doesn’t work properly.

All their efforts at attempting to conceive were for naught; Kevin’s gonads do not produce any sperm and he was shooting blanks the entire time.

5. the last paragraph is a hoot...
"“I am honored that they are naming the baby after me. My only regret is that I couldn’t make the baby the old fashioned way. Adrienne was a cheerleader at Purdue and is still pretty hot. I wouldn’t have minded taking a stab at her in the sack,” added Cody.

6. This has got to be a parody
"Some bum"?

"Shooting blanks"?

"Can't knock up my wife on my own"?

"I wouldn't have minded taking a stab at her in the sack"?

This reads like The Onion, not serious journalism.

8. 15 was when I began donating my sperm, but it sure wasn't...
...into any cup! Can women donate their eggs? Aren't one or two produced every 28 days? It seems like a waste to just let them roll out and fall onto the floor, doesn't it?

14. Egg donation
Women are born with a fixed number of eggs. They do not reproduce eggs like men reproduce sperm over their lifetime. Women do donate eggs, but it is a risky and costly procedure, which is why the rate women are paid for egg donation is several thousand dollars, as opposed to sperm donation which is much, much less.

That's your biology/social lession for today.
