My stupidest dog was Dessa... a black pug



She had absolutely no brain and refused to be house-trained... We gave up after 12 months and multiple methods.

She died after following our other dog onto the highway... too stupid to actually 'dodge' traffic.

However, she was 'sweet'... Pugs are awesome with small children... Our girls basically treated her like a big doll. She never ONCE fought back , nipped, or bit.

would dig out incessantly. It was patchwork constantly to keep-up.

Used to have an Irish setter and I have to tell you he was dummer than a box of rocks but still a great dog.

I still wouldn't have a freaking poodle though. They bug the crap out of me. I like BIG dogs. Not ankle biters. 'Cept for maybe Corgis. They're incredibly cute.

10. My Brother Owns A Remarkably Stupid Bichon Frieze

It will chase a ball for a long as it rolls. Then when it stops moving he loses all interest in it and REFUSES to bring it back.

I have a cousin who rescued a racing grayhound... also not too bright. I don't know if it was his breed or his background of being a racing dog that wasn't very well socialized--but it wasn't a dog that I'd want to own.

I followed the orders of a professional dog breeder for training Dessa... She was the only crated dog I ever saw who would poop right there. It didn't matter to her.

She also had a VERY bad habit of leaving 'presents' on our pillows.

This is not a pleasant thing to find...

15. Stupidest dog I've ever encountered was a Pomeranian

YIPYIPYIP!! (FSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHH) YIPYIPYIP!! (FSSSSSSSSSSSHHHH)

The entire time I was in the house, she did nothing but yip and piss on the floor at (I'm not making this up) two-minute intervals.

I'd sooner have a tarantula or a terrarium full of mole rats than a Pomeranian.
