What's your favorite obscure or cult 70's TV show?

My favorite would be In Search Of. Hosted by Leonard Nimoy, this cult 70's show would explore mysteries such as the Bermuda Triangle, the Loch Ness Monster or explore conspiracies like Lincoln and JFK's assassination. Great show and great theme music!

Great show. Graham Gaerden, Bill Oddie and... forgot the other guys name. My favorite episode was the one where they blew up the cat to King Kong size and let it roam through the streets of the city. Excellent!

This was a British show where Allen would sit on a stool, smoking a cig, drinking a martini, and tell jokes & play skits, many religious in nature...It was shown for a year on a Boston station, and I've never seen it broadcast since...a REALLY FUNNY show...

A run-down hotel full of eccentrics played by the likes of James Cromwell, Richard Masur, Conchata Ferrell, and Al Freeman Jr. It only lasted one season, and I don't know if anybody but me remembers it, but I loved it while it was on.

It was rather racy for the time, and Richard Masur and Jamie Cromwell are hugely underrated actors. It was a play before a TV series... I always hoped to do that play.

ALL the Krofft shows were good... and, since we brought up the kids' shows from the 70's... I was a big fan of "Big John, Little John," about a man who periodically became a kid. Herb Edelman and Robbie Rist. Man, they don't make TV like that no more.

VERY obscure. It was syndicated in the US, but an English production.

Starred Robert Vaughan.

Set in "jet set" locations throughout Europe. Sort of a detective show.

The guy who produced it was responsible for those animated puppet shows, Thunderbirds, Stingray, etc, in the 60s.

Pretty good show I remember. Came on here in NYC at like, 10-o'clock or 10:30 on Sunday nights on CBS channel 2. Vaughn's female lead was Nyree Dawn Porter...I could never forget that unique name. Beautiful woman...

Now I'm thinking about a horror anthology that used to come on ABC after the 11-o'clock news around the same time "The Protectors" was on. "Touch of Evil" it was called and it had Anthony Quayle as the host. Another Brit TV import I remember. Creepy stuff!
