I just got screwed by the DNC... ask me anything

So, my university was doing a summer program in which a select group of students would be travelling to Boston and interning with either the Democratic Party or with media organizations covering the convention. This had been in the works for quite some time; the professors here had been working with the Party for over six months, not only with the DNC Director of Convention Planning's knowledge, but encouragement as well.

So, I get an e-mail today, letting me know that the DNC cannot accommodate the students of my university with any sort of internships.

I'm crushed... I was looking forward to this program since January, when I found out I was accepted. I planned my summer around it; I'm working one of my jobs over the summer because I knew I could take the time off... now it turns out that I could have gone home and found a better paying job, and not be out the money for housing and food.

Thanks for letting me vent... :(

telling him how you had planned and scheduled everything around it.

I think this warrants an honest response and what you expressed here is very appropriate to send.

Also, talk to any others who have been inconvenienced by this and tell them to write as well, not to mention any faculty members.

I think this deserves some response due to the fact they created an expectation that this internship (of sorts) was going to occur.
