Anyone else get to miss the whole Reagan thing?
I was at Disney World last week. I saw a headline that Reagan had died, and smiled all day. I'm not even sure which day it was. By the time I returned to the real world he was canonized and entombed, and I didn't have to scream at anyone about it.

One coworker did try to pick on me today about him. I told him I was glad the evil bastard had finally died, but that it should have been in a prison. He let it go.

Anyone else get to miss it? If not, how'd you cope with it?

2. It was a long week
but I managed to get through it...a high point though happened while driving a co-worker home one evening about mid-week. As we drove through the campus gate I mentioned something about the flag being at half-staff and she asked, "what happened, someone die?" I laughed all the way to her house.

Welcome back to the regular world...hope you had a great vacation!

:hi:

3. LOL Why are they still at half mast?
When do we get full flags again?

4. I was very, very close
I unfortunately caught part of the extended version burial Friday night almost by accident. Then, as if there hadn't been enough coverage all friggin' week long, there was a replay of the Simi Valley necrofest on the news Saturday morning.

So I missed most of it. I suspect next time, they'll just put chips in everyone's brain and beam it in directly so we can all feel weepy over some other turd of a Republican.

5. I missed the whole thing.
Spent my free time outside enjoying the great weather we've been having. I hardly watched TV at all last week and I certainly didn't waste it watching those casket-crawling konservatives and their week long orgasm over Ronnie.

6. Missed it
I wasn't lucky enough to be out of town or the country, but I did avoid all cable and local news networks. I changed radio channels or turned it off if any raygun stories came on and turned the page on newspapers and magazines that had any stories. I caught up on a lot of pre-recorded TV stuff from Tivo and read a lot at night. It was great.

When anyone tried to bring the bastard up in casual conversation the comment was "I'm sure he's gone straight to hell where he should have been a long time ago".

I survived the mindless mass mourning of '04. he he he

7. How I Avoided Reagan
I bought the monthly pass at Blockbuster's that allows you to check out as many movies as desired--two at a time. My husband and I watched all kinds of flicks: Mystic River, Shattered Glass, Arlington Road, The Quiet American, Lost in Translation, Mooseport (don't bother--really stupid), The Statement and some I can't think of.

It was great. I did not watch one single moment of the Reagasm.
