4. Being that I have no kids and I am an adult,
I do not read children's literature.

5. .....well...

I'm in the same boat, and still enjoy the HP series. The latter 3 novels are not so kid-oriented anway. Very enjoyable, and Rowlings is a great story teller.

7. I read all of those.
Firstly, Lord of the Rings is VERY VERY far from being a children's book. The other two I read as a child, when such books are designed to be read. There are many classic books out there that I have not yet read and they, being the priceless works of art that they are, understandably take preference over children's literature in my book.
