my 89 1/2 year old ma was mugged yesterday

and i'm hating humanity. other than a bruised hand (the one he grabbed her purse out of) she's okay but the bravado with which she faces the world is pretty shaken up. i know this stuff happens all the time, but when it happens to a small, helpless, sweet, wouldn't hurt a cockroach woman, my primal instincts are kicking in and i want to punish!!!! he got away, but bless her heart she made herself go out today - by herself again! - and change her bank account. thanks for listening. i'm pretty shaken up. it's tough being 700 miles away....

I remember when my 85 year old grandma got mugged. I couldn't believe someone could go after an old woman who was around 4'8". There are some sick people in the world. It sounds like your mom is a very brave soul - getting back out was the best thing she could do. Prayers to her.
