Someone's accused moi, the widow, of "left-wing hatred"

My husband's obit ran today in the local papers. I sent the link to several friends, including some in LA who forwarded it to others. The last line asked for donations to help defeat Bush this fall.

Unfortunately, one of the "others" is a cretin who took the time to take me to task for my "left wing hate" and ask why my husband and I didn't love Reagan (???). This guy is gay, and I hate to stereotype here, and he has every right, as we all do, to choose his political persuasion, but I asked him, "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING AS A GAY MAN DEFENDING REAGAN AND BUSH? DO YOU SEE NOTHING FUCKED-UP OR HYPOCRITICAL ABOUT THIS?"

I'm shaking, I'm filled with rage, I want to fly to LA right now and kick his dumb, ignorant ass from Toluca Lake to Agoura Hills (he's a small guy, I think I could do it). The fact that someone would read an obituary and start in on the grieving widow just pissed me off so much, I'm blinded by rage. I know all of you understand. You have supported me more than I could have ever imagined.

Sometimes getting angry is a good distraction. Like when my father died suddenly right before Reagan was re-elected, and my aunt remarked about what a "thinker" Reagan was. My mom nearly "bit her head off and shit down her neckhole."
