1. I heard on ESPN radio
Jackson gone by "mutual agreement"

Kobe won't excersize his option, free agent in July

Shaq has asked to be traded.

So much for dynasty....

8. Oh my
This is huge. Los Angeles will probably have to decide between Kobe and Shaq. I doubt they will be able to co-exist much longer. Despite his legal problems, I'd take Kobe over Shaq in a heartbeat. O'Neal is still a dominating presence, but he's considerably older than Bryant.

If they do choose to dump Kobe, I'd love to see LA make a move for McGrady. For that matter, I'd like to see Shaq and McGrady in Orlando together.

12. Being an NY/Orlando Transplant in LA
I hate to see a good team get torn apart. I am a big Oneal Fan and would love to see him come back to O-town. I shutter to think of Kobe in NY.

I lay the blame on Kupchak and Buss and their blood pact with Kobe. Shaq went to the finals with Penny, and though he's getting older, there is no better center out there. He just needs a good guy to feed him and is able to make plays for himself (McGrady in Orlando?).

Kobe NEEDS Shaq. He needs that magnet in the center so he can play do his thing. Giving this basket case carte blanche in personnel decisions and the keys to the organization when he may very well be in prison this time next year is effing rediculous.

I wish Shaq and Kobe knew that they could still win with the Lakers...do like the Yankees and just re-arm. Get younger. Faster. Oh, well.

14. Yeah, but the Lakers quietly built some momentum for next year
Ended the last game on a 17-2 run!!

Down 98-70 but surged to a valiant 100-87 final.
