Is there a good simple MPEG editor out there in freeware land?
or anything which will allow me to cut sections out of .MPG and .WMV files?

If you are not using windows, then for you I guess Movie maker 2 is not free.

ON edit: What I mean is if you are running Windows, you can download it for free.

Personally, I like the Womble editor. I think you can use it free for 30 days.
