that Jeopardy guy (possible spoilers)

I haven't watched Jeopardy in years, but ever since I found out about that Ken guy's winning streak, I'm hooked. I have to watch every day now until he loses. Is it just me?

2. NAQT Question writer

My son just competed in the NAQT academic challenge or quiz bowl national tournament here in Houston. This guy is or was a writer of questions for the NAQT and was evidently a serious competitor in quiz bowl or academic challenge in his day.

My son calls me every day after Jeopardy to let me know how this guy is doing. At some point, Jeopardy may have to change the rules again to limit him to a $1 million or so. He is evidently incredible.

3. I'm jealous!

I took the test about 2 years ago, but wasn't one of the highest scorers (they only pick the top 5 to 10 people from each city, unfortunately).

I'm signed up on their Website though to see when they come back to town. I'm hoping I'll do better.

The test is even harder than the regular show to help weed people out. And you only have 5 seconds to answer each question. No deliberation time at all!

4. I haven't heard about this.

I used to watch Jeopardy religiously but haven't recently, for some reason. And the only time I heard about this was when Dave Letterman had some segment about it.

Will someone please fill me in on the details on this Ken fellow and what's been going on?

7. He has won 13 days in a row

(I think today was #13, anyway) and he's almost up to $500K in winnings. They changed the rules so you can just keep winning until you lose, you don't get retired after 5 consecutive wins.

10. Last night was #14

i've seen aLmost every episode w/ ken. he's from utah, he's quick with the buzzer, and very witty. he's aLready broken the money record.

he aLmost didn't win Last night.. some guy pushed him right to the edge and for the first time that i can recaLL, he actuaLLy had a chance to Lose in finaL jeapordy.

i beLieve, that he mostLy buzzes in before he knows the answer, which is a great strategy if you're that smart. quite a few times he's buzzed in and just shrugged his shouLders.

As of tonight he's up to almost $472,000! WOW

Must admit I'm torn between watching to see when another contestant beats him and watching to see if he can continue this winning streak to reach $1 million.

8. Why does the movie

"Quiz Show" come to my mind? Bet the number of people watching the show has jumped up substantially because of this guy.

I missed the show last night but on the 3rd or 4th show he was on during the little interview part Alec asked him what he did for a living (computer something or other) and Alec said "So you aren't a businessman (?)" and Ken said "Oh NO, after the revolution they will be eliminated".
