Any mountain bikers in here?
I have gone out a couple times and I am getting addicted. It's a fun sport. My girlfriend likes it too. Anyone else here into it?

1. I bought one but...
have not yet put it on a trail. I ride at... http://callawaygardens.com/tosee/discovery_bicycle_trail/bicycle_trail.htm
No real area for it close by. Callaway is only 8 miles from my house so I usually ride there and then ride their bike trail. Where do you and your girlfreind ride at?

2. We've been to Bethpage, LI
and somewhere in Queens. We hit the trails in Bethpage and that was fun. We are going to keep doing it. I found some great sites on the subject. One of them is dirtworld.com. They have lots of info about trails.

6. I usually do, but I haven't officially done it in a long time...

1, my mountain bike has a tire on the front made for street racing.
2, I usually like to use a BMX bike on the trails.
3, I live in the plains. No mountains.
4, the park I like to ride in most is flooded 99.9999999% of the time.

What I would like to do is mountain bike the hole Appalachian trail.

P.S. never mind the type of bike that is on my avatar.

7. That would be really freaking cool.
It's over 2160 miles of trail. You would have to take like 2 months off of work and ride every day. You could always do chucks at a time.

5. I really love the trails.
It's a mix of everything. Riding, challenges, getting into nature, and so much more.

4. oh yes
I stick to fairly tame roads and trails, however.

Nonetheless, it's extremely addicting.
