WREDENHAGEN - Residents of northeastern Germany were advised Tuesday not to panic if a vulture swoops down and lands on their heads - it's only "Sancho".
Sancho's handler, falconer Marco Loerke, said the giant bird absconded during a show on Sunday at the historical aviary in Wredenhagen, home to a collection of rare breeds of eagles, falcons and vultures.
One of Sancho's tricks is to fly from his master's hand to land on the head of an audience member. However during Sunday's show, the bird simply kept going and is yet to return.
