help please - cannot get avatar to "take"

I hape loaded it several million times, but, as you see - no avatar! What am I doing wrong?

from the upload window into the avatar field?

Thanks all for the help and guidance in my time of effervescence. The avatar was a gorgeous hubble shot. If I am a taxpayer, why don't I own that image??? Oh well....

If so, there must be some kind of copyright notice embedded in the image. You could probably remove it with an editing program like photoshop (expensive) or the gimp (free).

2. I'm not sure about this, but...

What are the dimensions of the image. I think DU will stretch it if it's too small, but rejects it if it's too big.

What are the dimensions and file size?

3. um - I cut and pasted it from Nasa - I don't know the details.

and there is no page to copy address from. I stuck the image in paint as it was the easiest - okay the first up on the list.
