From the looks of things at the moment I may be an unwillingly celibate heterosexual the rest of my life anyway and while it may be a bit depressing at times it's not that bad... plus, I just don't swing that way...

Althought on a serious note I believe that for the most part your sexual preference is purely physical from the aspect of sexual gratification. Just cuz I'm stuck on an Island with another guy doesn't mean eventually I will want to have sex with him. I guess I just don't see the diffrence between getting of with my hand or someone else getting me off. I mean yeah sure, it's a diffrent feeling...But I've been whacking it for 7 years and it still does the trick. Doesn't mean I don't prefer having a female partner.

the only thing I could think of for Bisexuals was "I'm Bisexual, whatever's there works for me." Sort of misses the point of the poll which was going somewhere sexually that you would not otherwise go but for the situation.

1) Restrict the poll to straight people.
2) Have different responses for men and women.

See how the responses difffer.

You could also have a poll for gays only, aksing whether they'd go hetero. Just a thought.

Of course, knowing Murphy's Law and my ability to adhere to it, my mental wandering up and down the Kinsey Scale (posted about last week, in probably more detail than people wanted, sorry) would take a significant dive down and all women would seem repulsive.

But in the abstract, assuming that the desert island wasn't in fact a repulsive idiot leper colony -- in which case celibacy would be just dandy, thank you very much -- sure. At least once, anyway. If I tried it and didn't like it, then maybe not more than once. (That's pretty much my philosophy on most experiences anyway, desert island or not.)
